Biography
Dr. Allen Friedland is director of ChristianaCare’s combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics (Med-Peds) residency program, a nationally recognized program that operates in conjunction with Nemours Children's Health. Among medical students, residents and faculty nationwide, Dr. Friedland is renown for his leadership and success in innovative medical education.
He founded the Leadership Excellence Education for Residents/Fellows program and was the founding director for ChristianaCare’s Transition Care Practice, now part of the Center for Special Health Care Needs.
Dr. Friedland is a primary care physician for children and adults across the lifespan and serves as a professor of Medicine and Pediatrics at Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University, which sponsors the Med-Peds residency program.
