Biography
Dr. Hester Young has worked in higher education for over 30 years and has a diverse background in training and development, career counseling, recruitment, job placement, and public speaking. She is an experienced course director for the Applied Learning Internship Course, Career Planning Course, and adjunct professor for an Adult Learning Course and Freshman Seminar Course. Dr. Young completed her BS in Workforce Education and Development, an MA in Human Resource Development, and anEdD in Education/Higher Education Organizational Leadership.. She is certified to administer multiple Skills and Personality Assessments, and she is a Certified Professional Résumé Writer. Dr. Young has written Career Planning Columns for a local magazine and has served on expert Career Development Panels for WCIV TV 4 in Charleston, South Carolina.
Dr. Young is an author, assistant dean of students, and was one of 35 Career Development Professionals in the country to be invited to the University of Oxford, Oxford, England, to participate in a Round Table Discussion. She has also been invited to be a Career Development Delegate to China by the American Counseling Association and National Career Development Association. Dr. Young has published copyrights and published research abstracts. She has conducted a national research presentation and national webinar. She is an Intercessory Prayer Co-Director with her husband. She has two grandchildren and three adult children.
