Dr. John Powell, the chair of Emergency Medicine at ChristianaCare, oversees one of the nation’s busiest emergency departments. The emergency departments at ChristianaCare’s Christiana Hospital, Wilmington Hospital, Union Hospital, and the free-standing emergency department in Middletown, Delaware treat a combined total of more than 225,000 patients each year, making the doctors that Dr. Powell leads among the most experienced in the region.
