Biography

Dr. Robert Madan is Baycrest’s Chief of Psychiatry and Executive Medical Director of the Centre for Mental Health. He is also the Medical Program Director for the Baycrest Psychiatric Day Hospital and is involved clinically in long-term care consultation, and outpatient psychiatry. He has been on staff at Baycrest since 2003.

Dr. Madan has a strong interest in education. He is the Chair of the Medical Education Committee. Additionally, Dr. Madan is the Postgraduate Education Coordinator for the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry and has recently become the Residency Program Director for the newly accredited Geriatric Psychiatry Subspecialty at the University of Toronto. His academic interests are in the areas education scholarship and faculty development.

Dr. Madan attended medical school at the University of Western Ontario and completed his psychiatry residency in psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He is an assistant professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
