Biography

Duc Tran received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Ho Chi Minh International University (HCMIU) in 2009, his master’s degree in electrical engineering from California State University Long Beach in 2013, and his Ph.D. in Engineering and Industrial Applied Mathematics from Claremont Graduate University in 2019. His research is on the theory and application of the Internet of things, and distributed optimization and control for cyber physical systems such as smart grids and smart buildings. He is also interested in applying digital signal processing techniques for detecting faults in power systems.
