Ector Ward is the pastor's wife at Christian Covenant Church, a position she has held since 1986. She has been married since 1976 and is the mother of ten biological children. She and her husband Steve boast eight grandchildren and counting.
Ector has been involved in home education leadership since 1982 holding positions both locally and serving on the Tennessee Home Education Association state board for ten years.

Ector leads women's meetings regularly in her church and speaks often in the Sunday worship service. Having held the position of pastor's wife, as well as leadership in home education, has afforded her many opportunities to speak and to write. She was an editor, a layout editor, and/or a writer for several church and home education newsletters for over twenty years.
Mother (personal)
Five of her ten home educated children have earned or are earning bachelor's degrees in various fields from musical performance to engineering to physical training. One is currently pursuing a PhD in Musicology at the University of Colorado and another is working on a Master's degree in vocal performance. One son will graduate in May 2012 from the University of Tennessee with a Civil Engineering Degree. All of her adult children are gainfully employed. Three children are still minors.

Founder and President of the Mideast Chapter of the Tennessee Home Education Association Served in capacities as President or Vice-President between 1995- 2008.
