Biography

Elena Muslar is the Chief Empowerment Officer and Founder of Confide Creative, a private coaching and creative workforce consulting practice dedicated to the cultural elevation and conscious liberation of developing professionals. Elena’s career and mindset coaching philosophy is rooted in workforce equity, racial justice, and radical self-care. As a proud South Central Los Angeles native, with over a decade spent in arts, cultural, and multidisciplinary producing, Elena has created hundreds of professional development experiences for arts organizations, community collectives, entertainment companies, and educational institutions including Loyola Marymount University, where she is Associate Director for Creative Professions and Strategic Initiatives in Career and Professional Development and lectures in the Department of Theatre Arts and Dance teaching "Introduction to Business of the Arts.”

Additionally, Elena supports the advancement of creative professionals at Center Theatre Group as a Leadership Coach/Teaching Artist, Valence BONDS Emerging Black Executives Community as a Facilitator/Executive Coach, and Arts & Culture Administrators of Color – LA Sisterhood on facebook as its Founding Moderator. The County of Los Angeles has honored her leadership in the arts & creative economy, commitment to cultural equity & inclusion, and dedication to community affairs & civic pride. Elena earned her MFA in Theatre Management & Creative Producing from CalArts, BA in Theatre Arts (with concentrations in Dance, African-American Studies, and Education) from LMU, and is obtaining certification in Social Emotional Arts from UCLArts&Healing.
