CAA spokesperson, Elisha Dacey, says their company always recommends travel insurance, especially when heading to international destinations. “Travel insurance can cover things like cancelled flights, lost baggage, medical expenses and more. However, not all travel insurance is created equal, so we encourage our members to ask questions to make sure they are fully covered for all emergencies,” Dacey said.
Nearly 400 calls for CAA help amid winter storm, more expected as snow continue

As of Saturday morning, CAA Manitoba said it had 394 calls on Friday, mostly for a tow or winch. "We are expecting things to basically be on the same pace for the next few days as the winds and the snow continue, but as the temperatures drop, we should start seeing battery calls overtake tow/winch calls," Elisha Dacey, communications manager for CAA Manitoba, said in an email to CTV News. "Now is the time to plug in your vehicles overnight."

So far in November, 29 people on the Perimeter Highway called CAA Manitoba for a rescue. Last November, there were 79 calls for the whole month, CAA Communications Manager Elisha Dacey said. "I am hopeful that people are being a little bit safer on the Perimeter Highway but I honestly think it's just due to the weather so far has mostly been cooperating,” she said.

“We all have a role to play in keeping our school zones safe,” said Elisha Dacey, CAA Manitoba’s communications manager. “These dangerous driving behaviours can lead to serious consequences and CAA is urging motorists to slow down and follow the rules of the road when driving through school zones.”
