In the field of consulting, she is recognized for her work in helping people and cultures shift. Power, who hails from western NC and lives in Nashville, is a Vanderbilt graduate who started out as a shoe repairer in Music City. Published in multiple fields, she her most recent works are the 2009 "How to Get Happier--and why you should try to!" and her contribution, Organizational and Programmatic Benefits from Adversity: Comprehending the Centrality of the Role of Adverse Experiences in and on the NPO and Its Programs, to the John Wiley and Sons "Volunteer Management Handbook."
