Biography

Southern California native Eric Stretch has taught dancers of all ages & levels in Europe, Canada and across the United States for institutions such as Loyola Marymount University, Princeton University, University of Irvine, New York City Dance Alliance and Dance League. Eric has been on the faculty as host and musical theatre teacher for dance conventions OnStageNewYork, Dance League and NUVO and is also co-host/ producer of intensive workshop series Musical Theater Mayhem teaching dance, vocal and acting technique. Eric has enjoyed a varied entertainment career for more than 2 decades. For 5 years, he performed in one of the most successful musicals in history, Wicked, on Broadway, LA company and the National Tour. Other Broadway credits include the TONY Award winning company of La Cage Aux Follies, the Disney/ Elton John musical Aida and Bombshell, based on the hit TV series Smash. Across America, his credits include Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Man of La Mancha, Pirates of Penzance and Something Rotten! On television, Eric is the Associate Choreographer for competition series Alter Ego (FOX) and Top Elf (Nickelodeon), as well as Paw Patrol Live at Home! for Paramount +. He performed every week on E!’s The Funny Dance Show, also serving as Associate Choreographer & Dance Captain. He performed with Beyonce at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards and danced alongside Madonna in her music video, “Give Me All Your Luvin". Other film and TV appearances include Netflix’s Lucifer, HBO's Boardwalk Empire and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, NBC’s Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, Days of Our Lives and America's Got Talent - don't mention the camel! As lead singer of male recording group No Authority, Eric recorded albums on SONY Records, executive produced by Michael Jackson, and Madonna’s record label Maverick Records. Their achievements include the popular hit "Can I Get Your Number” and a Gold Record for the soundtrack to Nickelodeon’s The Rugrats Movie. The band toured worldwide with Destiny’s Child, Britney Spears, 98 Degrees and Pink. When not performing, Eric is an exciting and insightful dance instructor who inspires students to perform far beyond the dance technique. Known by his nickname ‘Stretch’, he brings his trademark energy, passion and signature style to every class.
