Biography
Erich Bublitz is an highly experienced risk management professional with experience in technology, enterprise and insurance risk management. He has built a career around breaking down the roles and responsibilities of risk management into simple and easy to understand concepts that resonate from the board room to the cubicle. Combining humor with the complex area of risk management, Erich is able to develop concepts to help organizations better understand and manage their risks.
Erich currently serves a divisional Vice President with Admiral Insurance Company where he is responsible for the development of a new division of the WR Berkley’s Admiral Insurance Company.
Prior to joining Admiral, Erich served as the inaugural Technology Practice Leader for ThinkRisk Underwriting Agency, a specialty Managing General Underwriter and the first subsidiary of retired AON Executive Chairman Patrick Ryan’s Ryan Specialty Group, where he developed the data security, privacy, and technology policy forms, applications, and underwriting guidelines.
Prior to joining the insurance industry, Erich held numerous leadership positions over 10 years in the data security and privacy consulting and auditing world. This included the role of President of One Point Security Solutions and Regional Director for the Technology Risk Management Solutions Practice of national accounting and consulting firm McGladrey. In these roles, Erich specialized in the development and review of security and privacy policies and procedures and technical network security assessments.
Erich has his B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Kansas and holds the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designations. He is also a licensed insurance producer in numerous states.
