Biography

Erin Smokovich Dorflinger joined the adjunct faculty at the Virtual Academic Center in 2012. A licensed clinical social worker in New York and California, she is currently the Director of Quality Management at Four Winds, a private psychiatric hospital in Saratoga Springs, New York.

Prior to joining Four Winds, she was the Program Director at Pacific Clinics East Outpatient, an outpatient community mental health clinic in Monrovia, California. Concurrently, she also served as clinical supervisor for Homeless Health Care Los Angeles and operated a private practice.

She has received training on a number of innovative, evidenced-based practices, including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, Seeking Safety and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Saint Michael’s College and her master’s degree in social work from USC.
