Biography
Gale Martin has been writing creatively for seven years and won several prestigious awards for short fiction including Writers-Editors Network, Scratch Magazine, and Writers Weekly. Her work has appeared in publications such as The Christian Science Monitor, Sirens Magazine, Duck & Herring Company’s Pocket Field Guide, and The Giggle Water Review and in several anthologies.
She published her debut novel DON JUAN IN HANKEY, PA, in 2011 with Booktrope Editions, and contemporary and humorous retelling of the Don Juan legend and Don Giovanni.
She also blogs about opera at Operatoonity.com and is an accredited opera reviewer for Bachtrack.com, an online site featuring classical performance worldwide. She holds a master of arts in creative writing from Wilkes University and lives in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, both of which richly inform her writing.
She is available for writing workshops, book club appearances, literary festivals, and readings and signings.
