As Consulting Director, George Bulat draws on his breadth of experience from the analyst side as he directs IDC’s research teams to ensure clients meet their strategic planning, go-to-market and measurement objectives. George builds upon the thought leadership of Canadian and worldwide analysts to provide custom solutions that clients require.
Previously, George was the Research Director of IDC Canada's Client Hardware group, responsible for PC, Hardcopy Peripherals and PC Monitor Trackers as well as the 3D Printing report series.
Prior to working at IDC, George completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Toronto, with a Philosophy major.

One of the most significant was a lack of knowledge and expertise, explained George Bulat, research director for client hardware at IDC Canada.
“3D print service bureaus have the capability to produce products for a variety of industries however they do not necessarily have expertise in these industries,” he said. “As a result, there is a reluctance for industry to use these third party services even though they may be beneficial.” In short, the 3D printing industry hasn’t developed to a sophisticated enough level to serve specialist verticals in a systematic fashion.
