More than 50% of parents in this country don't know what Common Core is, as in they have not heard about it before. Of those that have heard about it, only 20% understand it is only a set of standards, and not a curriculum or set of methods The rest believe it is a crazy set of bizarre teaching techniques or worse, possibly a Federal indoctrination program. Only very recently has there been any effort from the government level to push out into the media, what Common Core really entails.
