Biography
Heather Ogden is the assistant vice president/dean of students at Southern Utah University. Ogden assists in the oversight, leadership, management, and administration of numerous areas housed within Student Affairs at the University. She has spent 11+ years at SUU working with others and growing positive relationships across campus, and her priority as dean of students is advocating for students' needs.
Before her role as AVP/dean of students, Ogden served SUU in other capacities, most recently as director of ethics and compliance in the University's Title IX Office. She also previously served as a faculty member for the College of Education and Human Development and as lead advisor.
Prior to working at SUU, she was a guidance counselor in two Utah school districts and an administrator with the Utah Division of Child and Family Services.
Ogden earned a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Utah State University.

FLHD 3100 - Foundations of School Counseling
Study key components of comprehensive school counseling programs, including a systemic, data-driven approach, guidance curriculum, educational and career planning, responsive services, and system support.
FLHD 3200 - Child Development, Infancy through Twelve
An in-depth study of biological, cognitive, and psycho-social development from conception through age twelve.
