Huma Shamim

Huma Shamim supports private medical practices in her capacity as a Florida administrative consultant. She assists clients with key activities like billing management and opening new practices. In preparation for her career, Huma Shamim studied at Santa Fe College in Gainesville, Florida, where she earned her associate of arts in business administration. Early in her career, she gained practical experience as practice administrator with Marion Heart Associates. While there, she helped oversee more than 37 employees and improved operational efficiency.

After leaving Marion Heart Associates, Huma Shamim became a consultant and manager with Hawthorne Medical and Urgent Care. Her responsibilities included re-organizing the practice's procedures, especially those linked to billing and coding. She then moved on to Brandon Orthopedic Associates, where she worked as practice administrator.

Since starting out in her field, Shamim has honed her administration skills through continuing education opportunities sponsored by the likes of the Bones Society of Florida and the American Academy of Professional Coders.
