Biography
Jean Brown has an extensive background in education, and a reputation as an inspiring and innovative leader. Faculty and staff describe her as an “extraordinary professional” and an “exceptional Dean.” She is known for her excellent listening and problem-solving skills, for never missing a deadline, and for her vision.
On every level, Brown seizes opportunities and enables others to do so as well. Brown was honoured with the President’s Award for Excellence in the Faculty category in 1994 and 2003. She was also awarded the President’s Award for Excellence in Administration in 2015.
Brown has a Master of Arts degree in Child and Development Studies from Laurentian University, in addition to other academic credentials.
