Biography
Although Jeff Ankrom is the associate provost for strategy and planning at Otterbein University, he has taught university-level economics for many years. He is the former chair of Wittenberg University’s Department of Economics and has published papers in a variety of publications, including The Eastern Economic Journal, Scandinavian Journal of Economics and Litigation Economics Review. He has visited and conducted research on Nordic economics while living in Sweden during sabbatical visits at the Swedish Institute for Social Research.
Ankrom earned his bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from Otterbein in 1978, winning the Norris-Elliott Award that year as the Cardinals’ top student-athlete. He went on to earn his master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame in public sector economics.
