I loved it! I loved the simplicity of it, so easy to follow. Perfect descriptions of workouts and breathing techniques. I also liked how you mentioned your own personal beliefs in lifting and your own personal experiences. This book hit its objective perfectly. Great way for someone new to get started. Such an easy book to follow. I looked forward to reading about the other body parts just to see what you would say about certain workouts not to mention give me some ideas that I can use towards my own workouts. You did an outstanding job. Can't wait to read the next one!

Reveiw of my book
I thoroughly enjoyed reading What Are You Waiting For! What an easy read for someone who wants to get started in the gym without feeling intimidated! One important part that Jeff stresses throughout the book is commitment, that one word that makes a world of difference! I also like the pictures, and the step by step instructions on how to do each exercise. It's so important to have proper form to prevent injury.
I would recommend this book to everyone! Why wouldn't you want to read it!!!!
Lastly, the part of the book that sticks with me the most, and has had the biggest impact on my own success is:
Equation for change: Effort, courage, discipline, and enthusiasm! These 4 words I will share with anyone/everyone I know. Following this equatio

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? has opened up a whole new gym life for me! I no longer have to feel intimidated of going into the gym wondering what I'm going to do or if I'm doing it right. After reading the book I felt confident and ready for a workout. I have learned so much and put it to use already. Above all, I can already see and feel improvement in my body. Thank you, Jeff, for writing a fitness book EVERYONE can understand and benefit from! I loved it so much I bought extras books for friends and family!

I found Jeff's book both informative and entertaining. Despite having trained with weights for many years I still found some useful tidbits that have been effective in improving my workouts. If my children express an interest in weight training this will be the book I turn to as the book does a good job relating to young adults through the use of young people in the photos and the style of writing used. The book was a quick read, but had good information and is just the right size to throw in your gym bag.

As a person who trains young athletes I picked this book up hoping to add some new material & ideas to add to my program. What I received was the perfect guide for anyone just starting out! Every athlete that I have encountered comes to their first training session thinking either A) They are going to jump right in and lift everything in the room OR B) They are afraid to touch anything in the room. This book gives a crystal clear blueprint on how to be succesful and train properly.
I am now requiring my athletes to read this book prior to their first training session. It literally covers all areas of weight training from the warmup all the way thru to the cool down. After reading it they will come to that first session confident and we

Jeff Hauswirth makes it clear that effective weight training takes a commitment -- nothing worth having comes easily -- but in his book he's provided all the motivation I need to make that commitment and the practical easy-to-understand steps to follow through with that commitment. The book is a perfect beginner's blueprint to weight training success, but even veteran lifters can benefit from Hauswirth's emphasis on proper form and technique. Teenager or adult, it's never too late to get started on weight training, and there's no better book to use as a launching pad to achieve success with it.
