Biography

Jennifer Marsh, LMFT, MS is the Community Education and Outreach Coordinator with the Center for Compassionate Care of The Elizabeth Hospice. Jennifer has created, marketed and sustained a thriving educational program to the general community about serious illness and grief and loss issues. In her second year as the Coordinator, she increased attendance at classes by 211%, (170% in her third year and a continued 101% in her fourth year), meeting the needs of a individuals who are dealing with these issues.

Jennifer received her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from San Diego State University in 2002, and her Master of Science; Marriage, Family and Child Therapy from the University of Phoenix in 2006. A Licensed Marriage, Family & Child Therapist, Jennifer is also a Certified Advance Care Planning Facilitator.

She is trained in Crisis and Trauma Intervention, and has been the organization’s representative for national projects, including the National Hospice and Palliative Care’s Serious Illness and Grief in the Workplace campaign. She is the Chair of the Caregiver Coalition of San Diego and currently working on an initiative with this group to enhance work-life issues within the San Diego business community. Jennifer has been published in the Touching Lives magazine (2009), and featured on KOCT-TV and Eldercare Talk Radio providing insight and resources to those coping with a serious illness, caring for a loved one and grieving.
