Jennifer Chen Speckman, LCSW has acted as the Director the Westside Domestic Violence Network (WDVN) since 2006 and has worked in the non-profit sector for 17 years. The WDVN’s works to create a more cohesive safety net of services for survivors of abuse by increasing networking and collaboration among professionals across the system of care. Jennifer began her career working in the area of domestic violence and sexual assault prevention and intervention at Sojourn Services for Battered Women and Their Children and went on to obtain her MSW at UCLA. Jennifer also works as a clinician specializing in the areas of trauma-informed treatment (child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence), co-occurring disorders, working with communities of color, couples therapy, early childhood development and interventions, and parenting support. Her passion centers on creating healing relationships whether in the connecting communities, the rapeutic individual work or in couples, parenting and family work. She holds a private practice in Santa Monica and also has taught graduate level MSW classes at UCLA and USC.
