Biography

Jennifer Sughrue is a professor of educational leadership at Florida Gulf Coast University and interim chair of the Department of Leadership, Counseling and Human Development. She also serves as treasurer of the Education Law Association. Her scholarship spans education law, leadership and policy, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals, book chapters and conference presentations. She has held multiple leadership roles within the Education Law Association and is currently co-editor of the Journal of Education Finance and Law, published by the University of Illinois Press. Her expertise includes school governance, education law, leadership development and the intersections of policy and practice. She is available for expert commentary on education law, legal and policy challenges facing schools, and the evolving role of leadership in K–12 and higher education.
