J. Mark Hattendorf is a senior business executive with extensive operational and financial expertise holding titles of Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Board Member. Building name recognizable companies while working with disciplined visionaries in order to protect and enhance shareholder value continues to be a major guiding principle. Industry focuses center upon; Entertainment (film & television), Digital (i.e. new media including internet business applications and games) and Life Sciences (i.e. diagnostic and therapeutic scientific research and ultimate product development). He has served as the senior finance officer with a number of public entities including Broderbund Software, Acclaim Entertainment, Herbalife International, Inc. and 20th Century Fox Film Corp. and as a 2 year consultant to Canal Plus, regarding its investment in Carolco Pictures. He is fully conversant with corporate governance and best business practices including various international/cross boarder topics and has served as “Independent Director and Audit Committee Financial Expert” for various U.S. Security Exchange Commission registered companies. His has also worked (as CFO and/or COO) with a number of private entities and their boards. These companies have included; Sialix, Inc. (glycobiology research focus aimed at diagnostic and therapeutic applications), EWI Holdings Inc. (international electronic payment processor), Questlink Technology (internet based/electrical design engineer focus), Prodigy (when owned by IBM and Sears) and Hydril Company (an international energy related organization). He began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., the predecessor to KPMG operating in the financial services and entertainment audit groups.
