
Jo Meuris

Biography
Jo is an award-winning filmmaker from Canada. An animator by trade, her work can be seen in well over a dozen National Film Board of Canada productions, where she worked for fifteen years as an animator, supervising animator, and lead compositor, and where she also directed two films of her own. Notable animation credits include Christopher, Please Clean Up Your Room! (2001), I Want a Dog (2003), Rose & Violet (2011), Me And My Mouton (2014), and Seth's Dominion (2014). Directing credits include An Aqueous Solution (2003), The Girl Who Hated Books (2006), PK-Granny (2007), and Without Wings (2010). Her most recent film, Aurora, completed in 2020, was independently produced, is currently being distributed by the Animation Show of Shows, and was presented at San Diego Comic-Con International to an audience of 4500 in 2022.
