Biography

Joe Crome leads the CAF American Donor Fund, the market leading giving vehicle for US/UK dual taxpayers. The American Donor Fund provides a tax effective one stop shop for the charitable giving of our clients, who collectively donate over $100m per year. Joe
brings significant experience within the charitable sector, having joined CAF in 2020 from a role as Director of Philanthropy at a Community Foundation, which focused on matching high net worth individuals with local charitable projects. Prior to this, Joe spent 10 years leading charities focusing on improving outcomes for vulnerable young people. Joe's expertise includes cross border giving, grantmaking, and advising donors and their families with their charitable giving.

In 2022, Joe achieved the Chartered Advisory in Philanthropy (CAP) designation from the American College of Financial Services. Joe also holds the ICA Advanced International Certificate in anti-money laundering. Joe has also served as a Trustee of two charities, including as Chair of one organisation, and previously also served a term as an
elected local councillor.

Senior manager Joe Crome joined the Charities Aid Foundation in 2020. At CAF he leads the American Donor Fund, which means working with clients who are dual tax payers in the US and UK to support them in their charitable giving. Leatherhead United Charities

Trustee: November 2016-December 2017. Joe Crome was a member of the Board of Trustees of Leatherhead United Charities (LUC). LUC is a historic Almshouse charity which houses vulnerable local residents in supported accommodation, whilst also making grants to disadvantaged individuals and local charities which make a difference to the Leatherhead community.

B@titude

Trustee - February 2010- March 2015. B@titude is an inspiring charity and community shop which serves the community in North Leatherhead, particularly aiming to support mothers and families by providing nearly new children’s clothing and essential items. I served on the B@titude Board of Trustees for 5 years, helping to establish the organisation as its own registered charity in 2010 as a Trustee before becoming interim Chairman in 2013.
