Biography
Former attorney and mayor Joe Ganim has won a number of awards in recognition of his professional accomplishments. These honors acknowledge his exceptional work as a volunteer, such as the Concerned Citizens for People with Disabilities Award’s Helping Hand Award in 1999, and his work as a mayor, being named one of the Top 25 Mayors in the Country by Newsweek in 1996. He is also an avid runner and coaches youth football and baseball.
