Joe Milstone is co-founder of Cognition LLP, the industry leader driving the changes in which business legal services are offered, delivered and procured in Canada. Joe has spoken at the CBA Canadian Legal Conference, the CCCA Spring Conference, The Commons Institute, The Canadian Institute In-House Counsel Congress, the Financial Executives International Annual Conference and even at partner retreats for traditional Bay Street law firms.

Before co-founding Cognition, Joe worked at Oslers and the Canadian Bankers Association, and then as Vice President, Legal and Business Affairs at Call-Net Enterprises (Sprint Canada) and Magna Entertainment. His mix of BigLaw, in-house leadership and Cognition experiences gives him a unique perspective on how the legal industry should transform for the benefit of corporate counsel and legal departments.

Joe holds a joint LL.B./M.B.A. degree from Osgoode Hall/Schulich School of Business and was called to the Ontario Bar in 1994.
