Starting now, and ending in the early 2020s you will experience the following.

2) Batteries painted on virtually any surface bringing power everywhere.
3) Artificially intelligent computer systems diagnosing cancer better than the best oncology experts.
4) Chip technologies that use random radio waves to power their connection to the Internet-of-Things.

These examples represent only a few of the exponential growth opportunities in vastly different domains from energy, genomics to advanced materials that will wash over us like a tsunami in the opening years of the 21st century.
