Biography
John Sulzbach of Killingworth, CT, enjoys sailing lightning class in his free time. He has participated in several lightning series in Madison, CT, and has won multiple times. He also enjoys playing guitar; he played and sung in different bands throughout college and high school. John Sulzbach is an avid reader, and some of his favorite books include “Ender’s Game” by Orson Scott Card, “Doctor Sleep: A Novel” by Stephen King, and “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins.
Mr. Sulzbach has traveled to various countries around the world. For several months in 1998, he spent a semester abroad in San Cristobal de Las Casas in southern Mexico. A few years later, he completed language training in Central and South America, during which time he improved his Spanish skills, which he is now proficient in. He is also an avid cook and enjoys Mexican, Thai, and traditional American cuisine.
Professionally, Mr. Sulzbach is plant manager at Astroseal Products, a position he has held since 2005. In addition, he is looking to enter the tree care field and learn new skills about tree care. He received an arborist license in 2013 and is planning to open his own company in the near future.
