Josette-Renée Landry

Josette-Renée Landry is the Vice President, Business Development for Mitacs, a not-for-profit private research organization. Since joining Mitacs in 2010, Josette's focus has been to facilitate partnerships between university researchers, industry, and the public sector. Through collaborations with other research funding organizations, she also helps to promote innovation across Canada and beyond.

During her graduate studies, Josette co-founded a consulting firm providing bioinformatics services to the Vancouver biotechnology sector. She received her PhD in Genetics from the Terry Fox Labs at the University of British Columbia in 2003, followed by postdoctoral training at the University of Cambridge. Josette also holds an MBA from HEC Montréal and has served on a diverse roster of academic, industry, and research committees.

Josette-Renée Landry est vice-présidente, Développement des affaires, chez Mitacs, une organisation de recherche privée sans but lucratif. Depuis qu'elle s'est jointe à Mitacs en 2010, Dre Landry s'applique à faciliter les partenariats entre les chercheurs universitaires, l'industrie et le secteur public. Par des collaborations avec d'autres organisations finançant la recherche, elle aide aussi à promouvoir l'innovation dans tout le Canada et ailleurs dans le monde.

Pendant ses études supérieures, Dre Landry a cofondé une société de conseils qui fournit des services de bio-informatique au secteur de la biotechnologie de Vancouver. Elle a obtenu un doctorat en génétique des Laboratoires Terry Fox à l'Université de la Colombie-Britannique en 2003, avant de faire un stage postdoctoral à l'Université de Cambridge. Dre Landry possède également une maitrise en administration des affaires de HEC Montréal, et elle a fait partie d'une gamme variée de comités universitaires, industriels et scientifiques.
