Biography
Juan Carlos is an attorney with experience working with clients throughout Northern California and a professor at UC Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco.
At Hastings, Juan Carlos co-teaches legal analysis modules with 1L Sack faculty. He also teaches "Law and Process" versions of doctrinal courses. This includes "Applied Wills and Trusts: Law and Process," which emphases practical legal skills, legal analysis, and preparation for the California Bar Exam.
Outside his legal work, Juan Carlos volunteers his time supporting the public arts in the Bay Area and regularly serves as an Election Inspector in Alameda County.
He holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School in New York, NY, and a B.A. in History from UC Santa Barbara. He is admitted to practice law in California (active) and New York (inactive). He is a member of the Trusts and Estates Section of The State Bar of California. He is also a certified mediator.
