Julie Emmer has been an adjunct assistant professor with the Virtual Academic Center since 2011. Prior to joining USC, she served as an adjunct instructor at the University of Central Florida’s School of Social Work.
Emmer has more than 35 years of experience providing direct social work services. Her areas of expertise include community behavioral health, child and family counseling, and bereavement counseling. In addition to being licensed as a clinical social worker, she is also licensed as a marriage and family therapist (LMFT) and a master-level certified addiction professional (MCAP).
Julie Emmer owns and operates a private practice in Central Florida.
