Biography
Juston Western currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at CogMine in Houston, TX, leading the company's platform development efforts. Previously, Juston was a Communications Officer in the United States Air Force, where he provided consult on emerging mobile, web, and wearable technologies at Dover Air Force Base. After separating from the Air Force, he was a consultant at Aon Hewitt spearheading technology transformation & change management initiatives. His formal education is in computer science and business administration. During his years at university, Juston gravitated towards tackling issues that blurred the lines between technology & sociology.
Something of a gadget geek, Juston has considerable depth of knowledge in the quantified self movement, along with wearable & smart home technologies. His free time is spent listening to jazz & electronica, and running the Houston App Aficionados Meetup for those passionate about mobile software.
