Kathleen Schaefer is an expert in clinical and professional basics, legal and management issues.



Dr. Schaefer joined the faculty in May 2008. She teaches clinical and professional basics, legal and management issues, courses in geriatrics as well as a clinical simulation course. She is a member of the Education and Acute Care sections of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She continues to work at one of the local hospitals in both acute care and in-patient rehabilitation. With a work history in corporate and manufacturing environments, she brings a unique perspective to the delivery of health care.

Dr. Schaefer has been an active member of the APTA since 1999. She is also a volunteer with the Edel Caregiver Institute, a service of Hospice Savannah.
