Prior to present position, held dual appointments in the Departments of Pharmacology and Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut Health Center as Assistant Professor and Director of Basic Science Laboratories.

Served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH

Received postdoctoral training at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, Philadelphia, PA. Received NIH Neuropsychopharmacology Fellowship

Prior to returning to graduate school, worked five years in dialysis and transplantation at Saint Luke's Hospital in Kansas City, MO
