Taking Your Business Degree to the Next Step
University of Mary Washington print
2012-09-21
On Sept. 21, 2012, the College of Business participated in the University of Mary Washington’s annual Family Weekend by hosting “Taking Your Business Degree to the Next Step,” during which a panel of business alumni addressed questions posed by moderator Ken Machande, Associate Dean for Faculty. The panel included Whitney English, Jamie Scully, and Dan Clendenin. Families, students, College of Business Dean Lynne Richardson, staff and faculty were invited to share in the conversation as Machande engaged the alumni in a discussion about their experiences as business students at UMW. English, Scully, and Clendenin took turns explaining how a business degree from a liberal arts university gave them an edge in the business world. They also encouraged students to visit faculty during office hours and to take advantage of networking opportunities offered by faculty and the College of Business.
