Biography
Kerstin Fisk is an associate professor of political science at Loyola Marymount University and a senior researcher at the Peace Research Institute of Oslo. Her research focuses on issues of conflict and security, emphasizing civil war dynamics, violence against civilians, and communal conflict. She has published work in Journal of Peace Research, Journal of Conflict Resolution, Civil Wars, and International Studies Perspectives.
Fisk’s most recent projects investigate subnational-level patterns of communal violence related to refugee encampment and government-sponsored militia attacks on refugee hosting locations in Africa. She is also working on two multi-year research projects funded by the Research Council of Norway: TRUST: Refugee Impacts on Host Sociopolitical Attitudes and CONMIG:Geographies of Conflict-Induced Migration.
