In addition to being a seven-time author on human motivation and performance, a management consultant and an award-winning marketing strategist, Kevin Burns has been working with safety managers, front-line supervisors and staff in safety for over ten years. Kevin comes from the Operations side of safety - integrating middle-management, leadership, Human Resources, engagement, recruiting/retention and marketing strategies into safety.
Kevin Burns can break down seemingly complex workplace safety and engagement issues into simple language and simple concepts that anyone, regardless of their background, can understand. He is also President and CEO of Zerospeak Corporation- a Calgary, Alberta, Canada-based Safety Communications and Management Consulting organization.

Zero Limits: Instill A Safety Attitude To Build A Successful Culture Of Safety
Truthfully, if compliance alone worked, you'd be at Zero all of the time. But you're not. You are limited by underlying attitudes leaving you just one mistake away from an incident. Published studies demonstrate that as many as 95% of all workplace incidents are triggered by unsafe behaviours which originate from an individual worker's choice to act unsafely. Those choices are the result of underlying attitudes around safety. Change the attitude and you change the choices made.
