Kevin Yancey is an expert in project management, accounting and auditing.

Biography

Kevin Yancey is a lecturer in accounting at the IU Kelley School of Business in Indianapolis. He is a certified internal auditor who most recently worked as the director of accounting and budgeting for the IU School of Dentistry.

He has taught internal auditing and corporate governance for Kelley since 2012. He also taught various business and accounting courses at IU South Bend from 2000-2007. His areas of expertise include audit, cost and managerial accounting.

Before his most recent role with the School of Dentistry, Yancey worked as assistant audit director and compliance auditor for IU’s internal audit department. He has also held audit and accounting positions at 1st Source Bank, CTS Corporation, National Steel Company, and Inland Steel Company. Yancey received his MBA from Loyola University in Chicago.

"When teaching, I have the feeling that I’m passing on the knowledge I’ve acquired over the years, both through book learning and practical experience," said Yancey. "If I can help students understand and learn these subjects successfully, I feel they will be more employable in their future careers."
