Kyle C. Hartig is an associate professor of nuclear engineering, leading interdisciplinary efforts to advance nuclear forensics, radiation detection and remote sensing. His team develops optical and quantum‑enhanced sensing systems—integrated with machine‑learning analytics — to rapidly detect and characterize nuclear materials and activities from laboratory to standoff scales.
