Professional Experience:
Laurie is the owner, coach, consultant, and facilitator for New Horizon Strategies (www.newhorizonstrategies.com). This female-owned business has over a decade of experience in project management, system management, strategic planning, and process improvement that enable a full suite of opportunities to aid you and your company in achieving the highest level of effectiveness.
Laurie's NASA experience has centered on project and system engineering and management. She completed Kepner Tregoe Project Management training, and is a certified NASA Black Belt, NASA Green Belt, and Lockheed Martin Green Belt. She has been trained via numerous NASA leadership classes and assessment courses. Laurie has received multiple awards for her services and accomplishments with NASA.
Laurie greatly enjoys public speaking and has given technical presentations at various locations around the world. She teaches a spacecraft life support systems workshop at the International Space University, ISU, (to Space Studies Program and Masters of Space Systems students). At the 2010 ISU Alumni Conference, Laurie presented in concert with the first Romanian astronaut (and lead of the UN COPUOS), as well as the executive producer for "Orphans of Apollo". She’s given presentations to schools, universities, companies, and professional associations both nationally & internationally to audiences of 350+.

She is skilled in effectively communicating, writing, operating MS Office programs, organizing large teams, maintaining schedules and cost control, and facilitating/implementing process improvement.
