Visionary Inventor of Cloud to Edge Software Applications - Edgeware Wiglets and Gridlets
Social
Biography
McKnight is practicing what he has taught and written, the creative destruction of existing industries and practices as information technologies and services recognize their abilities to serve human and social needs, at all times and in any location.
McKnight is the inventor of edgeware, a new class of software designed to work across all edge devices, and the founder of Wireless Grids Corporation, where he remains on the board of directors; and is a founding board member of Summerhill Biomass Systems, an alternative energy firm of equally astounding ambition and potential.
When not engaged in information research, peer-reviewed journal article publication, innovation and entrepreneurship, Professor McKnight may be found in Hinds Hall at the Syracuse University School of Information Studies, teaching classes in information policy in the #1-ranked (according to US News & World Report) program in information systems.

Creative Destruction of the Public Switched Telephone Network
The PSTN has seen its day come, and go. Regulatory policies to prop up and extend the life of the PSTN are misguided. Future Internet-centric networks should be welcomed, by regulators and industry.
