Began career as Art Director at Zand Advertising in Toronto. Established Insync Creative Inc. in 1985 with Zand Advertising as a client.
In 1994, Insync Creative was acquired by Integrad Advertising, enabling a one year sabbatical in Italy to travel and paint.
Upon returning to Canada, Lionel joined Fireworks Creative as an equal partner. Lionel developed an innovative approach to competitive brand positioning, integrating creative business strategies, design and technology. The approach helped secure high profile projects for clients such as Manulife Financial, CIBC, GlaxoSmithKline, Deloitte & Touche, Inscape, Office Specialty, Famous Players and Ontario Power Generation.
Success garnered offers to purchase Fireworks by Euro RSCG in New York, Cohn & Wells in Toronto and oth¬ers. In 2000, Cognicase, then one of Canada’s largest publicly traded technology companies, acquired Fireworks in a strategic move to enrich user-experience on Web projects through leading design and the cre¬ation of quality content.
Beyond creating innovative business models and profitable partner relationships, Lionel’s goal is to put graphic design and communications to work, helping clients identify and act upon new opportunities, creating memorable campaigns that achieve goals, while putting sustainable processes in place that typically increase competitive capabilities and deliver positive and immediate growth.
Lionel also currently serves as President on the Board of the Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario (RGD).
