Biography
Lisa Pike Masteralexis is an expert on sport law, labor relations and sport management. She is an editor/contributor for Principles and Practice of Sport Management, now in its 7th edition, and has made over 60 presentations before academic and industry groups.
She served on the Executive Board of the Sport and Recreation Law Association, the editorial board of the Journal of the Legal Aspects of Sport and the advisory boards of the Women’s Sports Foundation and the National Sports Law Institute.
She has submitted an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of golfer Casey Martin, consulted with players associations in Europe and Japan, and was one of a very few women certified by the Major League Baseball Players Association.

Thompson-Herah was suspended for posting a video of her winning race. Masteralexis explained that “the International Olympic Committee has huge financial interests here too: exclusive broadcast agreements worth more than $4 billion…for them, the exclusivity is really where the value lies,” she said.
