Biography

According to a recent poll, the top three characteristics that describe Lisa Ryan are "inspirational, positive, and encouraging"

Lisa Ryan, MBA, is Chief Appreciation Strategist at Grategy. Featured in the award-winning film, “The Keeper of the Keys” with Jack Canfield of Chicken Soup for the Soul, Marci Shimoff of “The Secret” and John Gray of “Men are from Mars; Women are from Venus,” she shares easy techniques to harness the power of gratitude in business and in life with her audiences. Her second feature film, “The Gratitude Experiment” will be released in the Summer of 2013.

Utilizing more than twenty years of sales, marketing and training experience, Speaker, Author and Gratitude Expert Lisa Ryan helps organizations recruit, retain, and recognize their employees and customers. By using her gratitude strategies, also known as “Grategies®,” her clients apply these skills to encourage stronger individual and team performance, enable a more positive work experience, and experience higher profits. In short, she teaches how to capitalize on one of the most basic (and inexpensive) tools on the shelf: the expression of gratitude for jobs well done.

Her career background includes ten years in the staffing industry, eleven years in industrial sales and seven years in healthcare. She presented over 500 Continuing Education Unit classes in her seven years in medical sales. She also conducted presentation skills training sessions ranging from half-day keynotes to 2.5 day workshops.

Although she speaks on a variety of topics, her specialty is presenting programs on employee and customer engagement, retention and recognition through creating a culture of appreciation in the home and in workplace. Her programs range from 45 minutes to a full-day program and are customized to each audience.

She is the author of two books, The Upside of Down Times: Discovering the Power of Gratitude and With Excellence, which she co-authored with Dr. John DeMartini.

Lisa serves on the board of the Ohio Chapter of the National Speakers Association and is President of her Toastmasters International Club. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree and an MBA in marketing. In addition to Grategy, she is the Cofounder of the Positive Thinkers Network.

"Lisa Ryan's moving story is one of the great highlights of and major contributions to THE KEEPER OF THE KEYS, our feature film in The Spiritual Cinema Circle's April volume. The film itself is, I believe, the best film of its kind ever, and that includes THE SECRET. Many thanks to Lisa for her inspiration and contribution!"

Thank you for your excellent talk on the power of gratitude in connection with the Foundation’s recent Communication Career Day. You not only had an impact on the students in attendance but also on the staff including the undersigned.

Your remarks provided a baseline of knowledge and perspective for kids about to enter the workplace. Their ability to harness the power of gratitude in their business and personal lives, now and in the future, will most certainly pay them great dividends.
