Biography

Lora Levett conducts research designed to promote impartial decision-making in our legal system. She uses qualitative and quantitative methods and social and cognitive psychological theory to study problems of human behavior in the legal system, including examining jury and juror decision making, eyewitness identification, plea bargaining, and other key points of decision making in the criminal justice process. In understanding decision making in these contexts, we can propose and test actionable policies and practices that will improve those decisions. Ultimately, Lora's research reflects her commitment to improving just outcomes and preserving equality for all before the law.
