Biography

I am passionate about the people-side of business, sharing experiences and knowledge and enjoying work.

While studying to become a mining engineer, I had no idea that my chosen career could deliver so many varied opportunities. I have worked shifts, operated equipment, led large teams, led improvement and technical teams, designed and scheduled large open cut mines. I've run large feasibility studies including the game-changing Rio Tinto iron ore Operations Centre.

Promoting the business value delivered through diversity and assisting others to achieve great work life balance through application of flexible work practices is one of the best things about my career so far. I enjoy seeing our workplaces evolve and the people in them thrive.

I blog for fun, creativity and to provide the occasional irreverent dig ... www.miningmummy.blogspot.com
