Biography
Lynda is an expert in attracting, maintaining and accelerating Foreign Direct Investment. opportunities. With over 18 years of experience working in both the public and private sector, she has been instrumental in assisting international companies succeed in-market. Lynda has traveled globally with a focus on India, UAE, Japan, UK, USA, and Europe, attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) opportunities into Canada. A few of her successes include; assisting CapGemini (formerly IGATE) set-up operations in the province of Nova Scotia and led the regional expansions of Xerox, Minacs Analytics Division and ADP. In 2017, Lynda partnered to form "The Varanda Network", a boutique trade, export and FDI consulting firm. Lynda currently works for the State of Pennsylvania as Director, Business Investment - Canada, driving Canadian Investment opportunities into the Commonwealth.
Ms. Arsenault has held executive positions on multiple boards including: Contact Centre of Nova Scotia (CCNS), Digital Nova Scotia (DNS) and Nova Scotia Women in Technology (NSWIT). She currently sits on the regional board for the Indo Canada Chamber of Commerce and is Program Chair for the Canadian International Council (CIC). Lynda has been an active volunteer with Junior Achievement of Nova Scotia for over 10 years and acts as a business mentor for university graduates.
Ms. Arsenault holds a Master’s Degree in E-Commerce (MEC) from Dalhousie University, an undergraduate degree from Saint Mary’s University and has obtained the Designation - Certified International Trade Professional CITP©/FIBP© through FITT. She has also gained multiple diplomas in international business, management and marketing while enjoying her hobby as a certified web page designer.
