Building the Future: how pervasive global connectivity changes everything
The last ten years have seen a huge increase in the importance of personal electronic media in people's lives: mobile communications, digitized music, user generated content and social networking have changed they way we behave, and our expectations of personal electronic media have evolved as a consequence. Consumers want all of their content, applications and services, everywhere they go and from any device they choose. Essentially, they want to use communications to enhance their lives all the time i.e. to share experiences and interact with their family, friends and colleagues across service and platform boundaries. And they want to do all this without complications and without budgetary challenges at the end of the month! This presentation looks at the consequences of these trends on both Telecoms and the Internet, and how companies are evolving their strategies and their businesses in order to survive and thrive in the networked society.
